Next week, Christina Mendat, PhD and Liz Mauer, MHCI, will be attending the 2020 International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care on behalf of our company. The symposium will take place between March 8 – 11 at the West Harbour Castle in Toronto.
There are a few events that we are glad to be supporting this year.
First, we will be sponsoring the Tuesday poster session. We believe poster sessions are a great opportunity for attendees to meet new people or reconnect with clients and colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere while learning about recent research findings. Please join us between 5:00 and 6:30 pm.
Second, Christina will be co-moderating a panel session on March 10th from 10:30 am to noon. The session, Human Factors Submissions: Strategies for Preventing and Responding to FDA Requests for Additional Information, will include the following panelists:
- Jim Kershner, MES: Human Factors Engineering Technical Lead, Eli Lilly
- Natalie Abts, MS: Head of Human Factors Engineering, Genentech
- Paul Blowers, MA: Director of Human Factors – Drug Delivery Solutions, AbbVie
- Irene Chan, PharmD: Deputy Director DMEPA, FDA
This should be a very interesting discussion since we will have three panelists with decades worth of collective experience interacting with the FDA, along with a representative from the FDA. We hope to see you at the panel!
We will also be in the career center. Looking for a new career opportunity? Interested in working for a dynamic consulting firm in medical human factors? Then come chat with us at our table. We are looking for mid- and senior-level human factors professionals with great communication skills who can join our growing team!
If you’re going to be at the symposium, please seek out Christina or Liz. They would love to hear from you!
