Human Factors MD Team April 2006 |
Tim Reeves, Managing
Director of Human Factors MD was the key note speaker at a recent meeting of INCOSE,
the International Society for Systems Engineering. Tim gave a 45 minute talk entitled
Using Human Factors to Improve Medical Systems. His talk focused largely on the
issue of medical device safety, and how human factors techniques can be used to
make medical devices simpler and safer for healthcare workers and patients alike. In
April, Tim will be participating on an industry panel on human factors, hosted
by the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of
Toronto. Paul Smith has
recently given a set of quest lectures for a course in ergonomic design for information
systems at the University of Toronto. Wayne
Fisher is currently teaching a course in human factors at the Ontario College
of Art and Design. Human Factors
